Story : 17 former military officers now PDEA agents
17 former Magdalo officers who went to Oakwood last July 2003 are now formally agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and be assigned to regional offices or at the operating unit in their headquarters.
The 17 former military officers sworn in as PDEA agents May 6, 2008 at the PDEA office in Quezon City.
The Magdalo officers has been dishonorably discharge from service and released from detention last January 27, 2008.
According to Derrick Carreon, Chief of Public Information Office of PDEA, the former soldiers applied for the position, “They underwent screening and was studied if they will be qualified because their training is more on military.”
Since they were qualified to become agents, the former officers went to schooling at the PDEA just like what the other applicants did. The schoolin or training lasted for 2 months.
On their schooling, they were oriented to focus on the competitiveness on drug operations.
Carreon cleared that their application is open for everybody who want to be part of PDEA, it is just so happened that those who applied were former military officers.
The former soldiers will be known as Intelligence Officer they were: IO IV Julius Navales; IO IV Emerson Nargate; IO III Jonah Arugay; IO III Juvenal Azurin; IO III Archivald Raniel; IO III Emerson Rosales; IO III Adrian Alvarino; IO III Archie Grande; IO III Joel Plaza; IO III Ryan Quasai; IO III Jeoffrey Tacio; IO II Jigger Montallana; IO III Bryan Babang; IO III Jeffrey Bangsa; IO III Mark Damaso; IO III Ronald Ricardo and IO II Samsudin Lintongan
