A Japanese National was gunned down Sunday morning in the province of Cebu.

The victim was identified as Yasuaki Matsuura, resident of Casal Village, Mabolo, Cebu City.

The incident happened at around 8:30 am of October 5, 2008 when a certain Christopher Cortez-Tarriman shot him on his forehead using .45 para ordnance P-7 which caused him to die on the spot.

The shooting incident happened in Little Marikina, Sitio Lutao, Barangay Estaca, Compostela, Cebu, where the suspect is residing.

Recovered from the crime scene the firearm used in the crime. The gun was loaded with one magazine with four live ammunitions.

The suspect immediately escaped after the incident. The police still investigating what transpire for the suspect to kill the victim.
