Story: Procter & Gamble office in Makati City receive bomb threat

The office of Procter & Gamble Philippines in Makati City received bomb threat, Friday morning.

The office was located at the 19th floor of Petron Mega Plaza at 358 Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati City. Based on the report that received by Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit of Makati Police, the office received call at around 10:15 am, Friday, October 10 saying, “The 19th floor will explode any minute from now.”

Alarmed on the call; the employees of the Procter & Gamble asked help from the Makati Police. The Procter and Gamble is the lone tenant of the 19th floor. The SWAT together with Explosives and Ordnance Division (EOD) went to the building which is 45-storey high to search if there is a bomb at the building. The police also usher the employees to go out of the building safely.

According to SPO4 Edwin Quilala, no one panicked from the employees as they explained to them on what they should do.

The surveillance of the building finished at around 2:30 pm. Operations on the building were back to normal after the police declared that the area is safe and there is no bomb found.
