Story: three suspected robbers killed in a shootout in Laguna

Three suspected robbers were got killed in a shootout after they open fire to the police operatives who tried to stop them for questioning.

According to Sr. Supt. Manolito Labador, Laguna Provincial Director, at around 3:30 am of October 22, three suspects riding in a tricycle went to Flying V gas station along Pulong Sta. Cruz St. Barangay Balibago, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna and forcibly took at gunpoint the money at the cashier then immediately escaped.

The three on duty personnel of the said gas station whom the police did not identify said were attentive to report the incident immediately to Sta. Rosa Police Station.

The St. Rosa Police Station together with the mobile group of the Police Regional Office in Region 4 conducted dragnet operation until one of them at around 4:30 pm sighted a the tricycle used by the suspects as described by the employees of the gas station.

The tricycle (XB3058) was sighted at Sta. Rosa Homes, Barangay Dita, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. The police operatives tried to stop them for checkpoint and inspection, but the suspects immediately fired at them so the police retaliate which lead to the killing of the suspects.

The suspects were identified as Roman Dutosme of Tondo, Manila; Leodegario Permejo of Area gate 3, Parola, Tondo, Manila and the third suspect remain unidentified.

Police recovered from the crime scene were three calibre .38, the loot money amounting to Php1,310 and one red Yamaha Tricycle.

Labador explained that the suspects only got Php 1,310 amount of money because the gas station is immediately depositing the money they earned if it reaches Php 2,000.
