Story: Cooling system smoke in Glorietta 2

A mechanical problem occurred that caused for the cooling system to create smoke inside Glorietta 2 mall in Makati City.

According to the Makati Fire Department, people noticed the smoke at around 2:30pm, September 4, which caused panic to the people because the smoke is coming from the tower of Glorietta 2 were the cooling system is located.

At around 2:50 pm, the Makati fire able to put out the smoke.

The smoke came from Glorietta 2, inside the area were the explosion happened last October 19, 2007, the smoke seen by the people cause panic because they thought there is another explosion at the area.

The Makati fire department denounced and said that there is no fire or explosion at the area. They are now investigating what really happened for the cooling system to create smoke. But according the fire department they will take a look if the cooling system experience overheat.

Meanwhile, Sr. Supt. Gilbert Cruz said that there were no injured and casualty on this incident after the people panicked because the Ayala management who owns the Glorietta Mall, used their sound system and the security guards to usher the people on their way out and to tell to them not to panic because it may cause more damage for the people.

After makings sure that everything is ok, it is business as usual for the mall at around 2:50 pm.
