Story: Couple, one child and niece massacred in Bulacan

A couple together with their child and their niece was massacred early morning inside their house in Bulacan.

The victims were identified as Teofilo Mojica, 60, his wife Florita Mojica, 52, their 19-year-old daughter Mary Grace, and their niece Nina Sangangbayan, 24, living with the Mojica’s. Teofilo worked as a member of the board of director of an employee association of the Department of Agriculture. Their niece is also an employee of Department of Agriculture.

Their house which is bungalow-type of house is located in Block 3, Lot 5, Phase 5, Pleasant Hills Subdivision in Barangay Manuel, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan.

The victims suffered gunshot wounds on their bodies. The bodies of the couple, Teofilo and Florita were seen by the police inside the kitchen of the house, while the bodies of Mary Grace and Nina were seen on their room. The two were sleeping in the same room which is adjacent to the kitchen.

Supt. Danilo Folorintino, Chief of Police of San Jose Del Monte City in Bulacan said that according to the neighbours they heard somebody went to the Mojica’s house at around 3:00. The neighbours presumed that the couple has visitors.

At around 3:30 am, a neighbour heard a bang but was not sure if it was a gun shot.

Florintino added that there are no force entry in the house, “It seems that the victims know the suspects.”

The attackers could be more than two persons. We have asked members of SOCO (Scene of the Crime Operatives) to determine the wounds of the victims. We cannot tell yet because they are full of blood when we saw the bodies,” Folrintino said. The gun that was used by the suspects to kill the victims were from calibre .45

He added that the neighbours are the one who reported the incident to the police, at around 6:00 am when they noticed that no one from the family members are going out of the house. “They used to see Mary Grace every morning leaving the house because she will about to go to school,” Florintino said.

Florintino added that the key at the gate which is located at the side of the house still intact because the locked-door cannot be open without using its key. Making the police think that the victims opened the door for those who came. “From the main gate, the suspects went through the side of the house where there is another gate before the door that will lead to their receiving area,” Florentino explained.

As of the moment, the police still have no suspects and motive for the incident and still conducting investigation on the incident.
