Story: Shabu warehouse in Masbate, raided

A shabu warehouse was raided by the operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Wednesday morning, but no suspects were arrested.

The raid happened at around 8:30 am of Sept. 17, at Room 1 ng Kimberly Apartment sa Provincial Subdivision, Purok 4, sa Brgy. Nursery, Masbate City by elements of PDEA and Masbate City Police.

According to the report of PDEA Region 5 Director Major Joven Parcon, the owner of the house whom they do not want to identify is the one who asked the PDEA to check the place because the owner is already receiving reports that the house has been converted to a shabu warehouse.

Parcon said that the owner identified Jimmy Villegas as the one who is renting the house, and they learned that Villegas also allowed five Taiwanese to also live their.

The authorities were able to recover equipments that can be used in making shabu or metampethamine hydrochloride that will worth Ph 5 million pesos. The police and PDEA elements did not recover any finished product of the said illegal drugs.

They are now in search for Villegas, the one who rented the place and for the five Taiwanese who lived with him.
