Story: 1 killed, 21 hurt in a bus accident in Cavite

Another bus was figured in accident in Cavite that lead to the death of one person and injured of 21 persons, Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at around 4:30 am, November 6, along Centennial Road, Barangay Tramo Marulas, Kawit, Cavite.

Based on the stories told by the passengers, the bus which is a Jethro Bus Liner (DXR-121) tried to overtake a motorcycle, but the bus lost control because the road is slippery. The bus is bound for Lawton in Manila and came from Naic, Cavite.

PO1 Jun Olorado, investigator of the case, even said that the bus turn around about 180 degrees before it fell on the side with 3 to 4 meters depth. He added that there are shanties that were affected on the place were the bus fell.

“Three shanties on the area were damaged when the bus fall, two residents were injured,” Olorado said.

Olardo said that the road is slippery and muddy.

He identified the fatality as June Magtawas, 78, one of the residents at the shanties, was sleeping inside his house when the bus fell.

The bus has 19 passengers including the driver and the conductor. All of the passengers were rushed to Divine Grace Hospital in Rosario, Cavite.

The driver was identified as Ariel Guadalupe, 30, is now being hold by the police. He will be charged of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and multiple physical injuries and damage to property.
