Story: 15 died in a truck and van head-on collision in Bukidnon

15 people have been killed after the truck bumped on a van, Wednesday, November 5 in Bukidnon.

The incident occurred at around 1:35 pm along the highway in Sitio Mahayag, Barangay Poblacion, Dangcagan. Sr. Insp. Teresita Taperla-Salana, chief of police of Dangcagan, said the 10-wheeler truck (MVG-418) cargo overtook another truck not knowing that there is a van approaching.

15 passengers, including the driver, being driven by Jun Michael Limbaga, riding the Mitsubishi L300 van (GJR-413), were killed because of the impact when it hit by the truck being driven by Gilbert Gonzaga and he has two companions. All of them sustained bruises only.

Because of the strong impact of the collision, the van was total wreck. The van came from Kibawe town and was about to go to Dangcagan proper.

The driver of the van is now at the custody of the police and will file charges reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide and damage to property.
