Story: Municipal Engineer in Maguinadanao, killed in ambush his wife injured
A municipal engineer was killed while his wife were injured in an ambush slay in Maguindanao last Wednesday afternoon, November 5.
Supt. Esmael Pua Ali, provincial Director of Shariff Kabunsuan identified the victim as Rey Sioson, 42, municipal engineer of South Upi, Maguindanao. His wife was identified as Rolita Sioson, 45.
The incident occurred along the highway of Barangay Datu Gampung, Datu Odin SInsuat, Shariff Kabunsuan. The couple came from Cotabato City and about to go to South Upi when the incident happened.
At around 5:00 pm while Sioson is driving his owner-type jeep and traversing the road in Barangay Datu Gampung, two men boarded in motorcycle suddenly followed them. When they reached KM30 the motorcycle went on the driver’s side of the owner-type jeep then shot Sioson several times on different parts of his body.
His wife Rolita, sustained gunshot wounds on his left arm and now being treated in Notre Dame Hospital.
