Story: Call center owner abducted but later released after paying ransom money

Kidnapped victim was released hours after she was abducted after her husband paid for the ransom money asked by the kidnappers.

In the report of Supt. Mafelino Bazaar, chief of police of Binan, he identified the victim as Lorangeli Ravaja, 39, owner of Givalink International Chatters, located at #402 Don Pablo Subdivision, Brgy. San Vicente.

The incident took place at around 10:20 am last November 24, 2008. Based on the statements of the people at their office, three men armed with 45 caliber, knife, and handcuffs. The men identified themselves as members of PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and they are looking for Jorly, the husband of Lorangeli.

The woman introduced herself as the husband of Jorly the person that they are looking for. The suspects put handcuffs on Lorangeli and said that she is being arrested for violation of anti-cyber sex law, she was brought in white Mitsubishi Lancer (PCU-112).

The employees of the Givalink, reported the incident to the police but the police did not managed to arrest anyone of the alleged kidnappers.

At around 2:00 pm, the police saw the used getaway vehicle at Brgy. Macabling, Sta. Rosa City.

Bazar said, the victim was released at around 7:25 pm of the same date in a fast food chain in Paseo Sta. Rosa but he do not personally know if they paid ransom.

But according to some sources the husband paid for P350,000 as ransom money. Initially the suspects are asking for P2 million but the family said they cannot afford it.

The CIDG in CALABARZON is denying that there people made a raid at the office of Givalink last Monday.
