One dead, 13 injured in an explosion at PNPA
One dead, 13 reportedly injured after an explosion occurred in Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA)
The incident occurred at around 5:30 pm at the firing range of PNPA. The PNP is located at Camp General Mariano Catañeda in Silang, Cavite.
Silang Police Station Chief of Police Supt. Nestor Quilinguen said that a rifle grenade exploded accidentally.
According to him a rifle grenade is a kind of grenade being place in a rifle in be able to be use.
He do not identify the name yet of the victim that was killed in the incident. But he said that those who were hurt are all police already.
As he explained, “they are already doing commando training for the Special Action Force (SAF).” The SAF is the elite force of the PNP.
Victims were rushed to Adventist University of the Philippines Hospital.
