Story: Bishop was robbed in Ozamis City, four suspects arrested

Even a Catholic Bishop is not excused after being robbed by a hold-upper in Ozamis City.

The victim was identified as Archbishop Jose A. Dosado, CM, 68, Archbishop of Ozamis City. He was robbed at around 5:30 am.

The bishop was walking from the Archbishop’s Residence at Barangay Banadero, Ozamis City to the Immaculate Conception Cathedral about two kilometres away when the incident happened.

A man riding in a motorcycle suddenly stopped and pretended to be checking something with his bike, three others approached also pretended to help the said man and suddenly announced a hold-up when the bishop pass through them. The suspects took the bishop’s wallet with Php3,200 and his cell phone.

Upon hearing what happened to the bishop, Ozamis police conducted pursuit operations to arrest the suspects, according to Chief Supt. Nicanor Bartolome, PNP Spokesperson.

The Ozamis Police arrested Crip Bardillas, who positively identified by Bishop Dosado as the one who git his wallet, then Ibo Lahaylahay, Rolando Alimpos, at Reynante Perez who acted who will help Bardillas on his motorcycle.

The police were able to recovered the wallet from the suspects but the money was not there anymore.
