Story 2: Three policemen in ARMM under investigation because of ballot snatching, augmentation in ARMM already pulled-out

Three policemen were under the custody now of the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Philippine National Police Regional Investigation and Detection Management (PNP-RIDM) after being caught of snatching three ballot boxes in Shariff Kabunsuan.

The policemen were identified as SPO1 Cairodin Tomawis, PO1 Alfatta Tomawis and PO3 Ibrahim Macariwang, all were police escort and supporter of assemblyman candidate Bonggarsa Tomawis.

In reality, there are four police escort, the other one is identified as PO1 Suawib Dagalangit. But the three mentioned above are the ones being confirmed by the PNP as the one being under their custody because they were intercepted by the PNP at the PNP detachment located at Crossing Barira, Poblacion 2, Parang, Shariff Kabunsuan and able to retrieved the three ballot boxes.

The said ballot boxes came from barangay Tugaig, Barira, Shariff Kabunsuan and were snatched at around 8:20 am of August 11, Monday.

The three policemen said that they will bring the ballot boxes at the COMELEC office in Cotabato because there are suspicions on it. The policemen said they will question why the ballot boxes were first seen at the residence of Zenaida Malabilang, DepEd District Supervisor also in Barira, but the police did not brought it to the Comelec office.

The three policemen are now detained in Camp Pendatun in Shariff Kabunsuan and will be facing charges for violation of Omnibus Election Code of the Comelec and they will also be charged administratively for grave misconduct. If proven, they would be dismissed.

Meanwhile, the augmentation forces of PNP to ARMM from Regions 9, 10, 11, 12 and CARAGA were already pulled-out and go back to their respective regions since Tuesday afternoon.
