Story: Three killed in road accident in Quezon province

Three people got killed in a road accident in Atimonan, Quezon last August 18 at around 10:00 pm.

The vehicles involved in the accident are a ten-wheeler truck (WBA-118) and a provincial bus called Barney (DXB-778). The two said vehicles collided along Maharlika Highway, barangay Malinao Ilaya, Atimonan, Quezon.

The truck contained La Tondena products mostly gin came from Manila and about to go to Bicol. The bus came from Gumaca, Quezon and about to go to Lucena also in Quezon.

The bus has 20passengers but only its driver identified as Rogidor Aguilar, 27, were killed due to head injuries he sustained.

The driver of the truck and one of its passengers also died in the road accident also because of head injuries. They were identified as Ronaldo Ramirez, 30 and Lourdes del Ayre, 52, mother of one of the three truck helper who is also onboard of the said truck.

According to Sr. Supt. Antonio Harapa, Spokesman of Quezon PPO, the truck has two other trucks in front of it also carrying products of La Tondena. The driver of the truck overtook the two trucks in front of him unknowingly that there is a bus approaching on the opposite lane.

The passengers of the bus were only sustained minor bruises was brought to Donya Martha Hospital also in Atimonan, Quezon.
