Story 4: grenade exploded in Zamboanga Police Station, no casualties were reported

A grenade was thrown and exploded in the police station of Zamboanga City last August 12 at around 10:10 pm.

Zamboanga City police chief Sr. Supt. Lurimer Detran said the incident is a personal motive agaist o one of his subordinates whom he refuses to name. “We think this is a personal motive in one of my policemen because they are investigating a case, they might want revenge,” Detran said.

He added that they already identified the suspects but he do not want to disclosed information yet because there were manhunt operation going on.

He said that the grenade was thrown at the parking lot of their police station which is located in Gov. Lim Ave., Brgy. Zone IV. One suspect was only walking the thrown the grenade then the other person was riding in a motorcycle waited for the suspect to ride with him and left the area immediately.

Damaged on the incident is one Toyota Revo parked inside the police station compound.
