Story: Sangguniang Bayan Secretary shot Quezon

A Sangguniang Bayan secretary was shot by still unidentified person in front of his house at around 7:40 am, August 4, 2008 in the province of Quezon.

The victim was identified as Michael Quejano, 35, working as a Sangguniang Bayan Secretary at the Municipal office in Sariaya, Quezon was shot by unidentified man in front of his house.

Quejano was about to go to his office for work when he was shot. According to Sariaya Chief of Police Chief Insp. Lodimer Leneta, when the victim went out of his house in Barangay 5, Sariaya, Quezon he saw a man outside who is about to get his gun and pointed to the victim.

Upon seeing it, the victim attemted to go back inside but he was sho already by the suspect, four times. Quejano sustained gunshot wounds on his right chest, right arm and feet.

After the shooting the gunman walk in east direction and boarded in a motorcycle.

Recovered from the crime scene are two empty shells and two slugs of .45. The police still clueless on who shot the victim, because according to the victim’s family, he does not have any death threats prior to the incident.

The victim was rushed to Doctor’s Hospital in Lucena City but later transferred to San Pablo Hospital in San Pablo City also in Quezon province for medical treatment. The victim is in critical condition.
