Story: HRD Officer in Laguna shot, still in critical condition

A man working at Laguna Metts inside Laguna Techno park in Binan Laguna was shot by still unidentified suspect, Thursday morning.

According to the report of PO3 Allendelon Ignacio of Los Banos Police, the shooting incident occurred at around 6:50 am at Barangay Mayondon, Los Banos, Laguna, three blocks away from his house at Bernardo Village. The victim was identified as Celso Bathan, 44, HRD manager at Laguna Techno park.

Bathan was on board to his work riding his Honda vti car(WTL-741) when intercept by one unidentified male suspect riding in a motorcycle.

Upon intercepting the victim, the suspect shot Bathan several times hitting different parts of his body and thigh. According to Ignacio, they recovered 8 empty shells of .45 at the crime scene. After the shooting, the suspect boarded his motorcycle.

Bathan was able to survived and he is currently confined at the hospital.

The case is still under investigation for the possible motive of the incident.
