Story: Lawyer of Mayor in lamp post scandal in Cebu gunned gown

At around 11:10 am of May 21, 2008 Atty. Ricahrd Sison was gunned down at the corner of MJ Cuenco St. and V. Sotto St. in Cebu City by three unidentified men riding in one motorcycle color blue with no plate number.

Based on the police report from Police Station 3 of Cebu that reached Camp Crame the victim is on board on his Toyota Hi-Lux pick-up with plate number (GKP-376). Sison is the one driving the vehicle. Sison stopped at the corner street of MJ. Cuneco and V. Sotto because the traffic lights turned to red, one of the men riding the motorcycle alighted and shoot the victim several times.

Sison was hit at the head and on different parts of his body was rushed to Chong Hua Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The elements of Cebu Police is still investigating the case, they are still clueless on the reason why the lawyer was ambushed.

The suspect immediately fled towards Mc Arthur Blvd. after the incident.

Sison is the lawyer of Lapu-lapu City Mayor Arturo Radaza who were involved in a lamppost scandal last January 2007 during the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) summit in January 2007 that was held in Cebu.
