Story 1: Police shot civilian in Olongapo City

Police officer assigned in 2nd Battalion of Special Action Force in Morong, Bataan shot a civilian at around 1:30 am in Olongapo City.

SPO1 Ronan Carpio, investigator on the case, said the shooting incident happened at Bruce Bistro bar in Magsaysay Drive, Olongapo City. The suspect was identified as P/Insp. Jovito Pardeno.

Pardeno shot Ernie Lee who is also a customer of the said bar. Pardeno used caliber .25, The police is now investigating if the gun he used was his service firearm.

Lee sustained one gunshot wounds on the back of his head and is now in critical condition in James Gordon Hospital also in Olongapo City.

The suspect is currently at the custody of Olongapo Police Station and will be charged of frustrated murder.

The motive of the incident is still unknown. “They did not have any heated arguments, and they were not drunk that is why it is not clear why Pardeno shot Lee,” Ramirez said.
Pardeno is a graduate of PMA class of 2006.
