Story: two men killed in shooting incident in Bocaue, Bulacan possible suspects on Pagdanganan case

Two suspected robbers killed in Bocaue, Bulacan Wednesday at around 9:00 pm in Barangay Batia, Bocaue, Bulacan were possible suspects on the killing of former Calumpit, Bulacan mayor Ramon “Monching” Pagdanganan.

Pagdangan was gunned down last Sunday evening in Calumpit while having drinking spree with his friends.

“What happened was, last night there was a report to the Bocaue Police Station about the presence of suspicious persons. The Police personnel on Bocaue responded, but when they are about to question or accost the suspicious persons, they started firing the police also fired back,” PNP-Public Information Office (PIO) Chief, Nicanor Bartolome said.

The two were identified as Jerry Gagal and one alias Jocel. Upon learning the incident, Senior Supt. Allen Bantolo, Bulacan Provincial police Chief, send his witnesses at Bocaue to check if they are the same people who killed Pagdanganan.

Bartolome said, that according to Bantolo, the suspects are the same to the cartographic sketch.
The witnesses who provided the sketch identified these two supposedly robbers in Bocaue as the same persons.

On the incident in Bocaue, the police recovered one caliber of .357 and one caliber of .22 plus three live ammunitions and one magazine for caliber .22. The guns will be subjected for laboratory examination to know if it will match on the slugs recovered at the crime scene when Pagdanganan was killed.

However, Bartolome said the Bulacan police still not stopping their investigation or not closing the case yet, as there are many other angle they can look into. “They are still gathering information and looking for more possible witnesses,” Bartolome added.

The killing on Pagdanganan has no motive yet. Bartolome said when the investigation team in Bulacan has submitted their final report, there they can identify the motive of the case.
