Story: Police killed in Bulacan, wife injured

A police was gunned down togother with his grandson in Baranga Tabing Ilog, Marilao, Bulacan at around 8:30 am, police said. His wife was left injured.

The victim was identified as SPO4 Benjamin Bautista, 56 and was assigned in Northern Police District. He was on board on his Toyota Revo together with his wife, Raquel Bautista, 55 and one year old grandson Anthony James Doloiras
when they were shot by three unidentified male suspects.

There were five suspects on the incident, the two acted as lookouts.

SPO4 Bautista and his grandson were died on the spot, Bautista sustained gunshot wounds on his legs, body and head, while his grandson who was being carried by Raquel sustained gunshot wound on the head. Raquel sustained gunshot wound on her right side and right shoulder.

The front and the two side of the vehicle were hit indicating that the suspects were positioned in the left and right side, and front of the car.

The suspects immediately fled using 2 tricycles towards the entry-exit point of the North Luzon Expressway. According to some witnesses account they did not noticed the suspects arrive at the place.

The Marilao Police still investigating what cause the suspects to kill the victim.

The wife of the policeman was rushed to St. Michael Hospital in Marilao, Bulacan but in stable condition.
