Story: Php 180 million worth of damages on agriculture and infrastructure on Regions I, III and CAR

The National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) reported that due to the typhoon Cosme, the damage to both agriculture and infrastructure already reached Php 180,943,775.00.

Worth of damages of infrastructures for Region 1 is about Php11.9-M; for Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) is about Php3.180-M ad in in Region 3 Php 26.150-M for total of about Php 41.230M.

The worth of damages in agriculture for Region 1 is about Php 77-M; for CAR Php8.5-M and for Region 3 is about Php54.152-M for a total of about Php 139.713-M.

In Region 1, there were about 39,73 families were affected, in Region 3 28,895 families, Region 6 10,604 families and 141 families in CAR with a total of 79,377 families.

There were also houses that were damaged because of the typhoon with a total of 6,111 houses; 3,524 in region 1, 2,510 region 3, 39 in region 6, 15 in region 7 and 23 in CAR.

Region 1 and 3 is experiencing brownout or no electricity at some of their provinces. In Region 1 the area that still experiencing no electricity is the province of Pangasinan. And in region 3, some municipalities of Zambales has no electricity yet.

The NDCC together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) some local government unit and NGO already provided assistance to the affected provinces and families which estimated to about Php1,038,153.
