Story: 6 suspects on robbery holdup arrested in Muntinlupa City

Six suspected robbers were arrested and were caught in the act in Muntinlupa City early morning of June 12, 2008.

The mobile group of the Muntinlupa Police noticed a commotion inside dela Rosa bus liner at around 5:45 am along National Road, Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa. The mobile group blocked the bus to stop and saw the armed suspects inside.

The arrested suspects were Roberto Pakera, 35 resident of Paliparan, Bacoor, Cavite; Lito Cabigayan, 24, resident of Signal Village Taguig; Nonito Sulayao, 22 resident of Centennial Taguig; Elmer Cabigayan, 21 resident of extra kaliwa Paranaque City; Ryan Espijon, 24 resident of Fort Bonifacio Taguig and Elbert Alambra, 28, resident of PUP compound Taguig.

They were also the suspects in the robbery hold-up happened last June 7, at around 7:00 am. They also hold-up BBL Transport Bus while transversing South Luzon Expressway before going to Sta. Rosa exit then when they reached Estrella Street in Makati City they all went down of the bus and escaped. On this incident they got cellphone, money and the service firearm of two policemen who were on board on the said bus. Those policemen were PO3 Demostrenes Obias at PO2 Rogelio Orlanda.

The two 9mm service firearm of those policemen were recovered when the suspects arrested in Muntinlupa. The Muntinlupa police said they positively identified the service firearms because of the PNP markings on it.

Another recovered from the suspects were another two .45 pistol; two knives about 9 inches long; one hand grenade; four magazines and 28 live ammunitions for 9mm and 14 live ammunitions for .45 pistol.
