Six people got killed in separate fire incident in Manila and Taytay at around mid night and predawn.

In Manila, the fire started at around 2:08 am and was declared fire out at around 5:41 am. The fire reached the alarm of Task Force India said by SFO2 Rodel Elvis.

About 200 homes were burned leaving 500 families homeless. The houses were made of light materials that caused for the fire to easily spread. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but on what the fire investigators are getting from the residents there, an unattended candle may cause the fire. The origin is still unidentified.

The fire happened in C.P. Garcia corner Moriones, Tondo Manila killed three people and injured 6 others including one fireman.

The casualties were identified as Manuel Palatan, 50, his grandson Kenneth, 15 and Elias Maglayit, 50, they were trapped on their respective houses.

The wounded were identified as FO1 Edwin Ortega, 30, Maricel Nas, 30, Mary Jane Cabral, 31, Raffy Dalgit, 21, Bernardo Amoruella, 50 and John Carlo, 13. They suffered minor burns and bruises due to the fire. They were confined in Tondo general Hospital.

Meanwhile another fire occurred in Taytay, Rizal, at around 11:00 pm of June 4, 2008. It only lasted for 10 minutes and only reached first alarm. But the fire killed three individuals.

The casualties were identified as Arden Tejero, 5 months old; Johnny Tejero, 3; and John Lexter Tejero, 5.

According to SFO1 Vincent Sulit, the house is located at dumpsite, Coastal road Barangay Muzon, Taytay, Rizal. The parents had left their children sleeping at the house. They went outside to check on something while the candle inside were left lighted.
