Story: 330 families left homeless after their house razed by fire

Fire razed almost 110 houses in Paco, Manila before noon Monday morning, July 21, 2008 but no one was reported dead, but there were three injured. Almost 330 families were affected.

The origin of the fire started in a house in Interior 45, Gomez Street, Paco, Manila owned by certain Lorenzo Tala. According to SFO2 Emmanuel Gaspar, arson investigator, the house is a two-storey and made of light materials to cause for other houses be burned as well.

The fire started at around 11:15 am and was declared as fire out at around 1:26 pm. The fire reached Task Force Delta.

The three injured were identified as Jason Chavez, 32 sustained laceration on his left eyebrow; Ramon Magno, 47, sustained wounds on his left leg; and Emily Vallenas, 47 suffered from suffocation. They are all residents of the houses that gutted by fire.

Estimated damages reached Php5.5 million.
