Story 5: Four suspected robbers killed in Malabon


Four suspected robbers were killed by policemen last July 25, 2008 at around 3:00 am along Araneta Avenue, Malabon City but only two of them were identified.

The identified suspects are Richar Biquid, resident of Bgy 174 Zone 15, Caloocan City and Ricky Lozada a native of Negross Occidental.

Based on the report from District Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM) of North District or CAMANAVA, who handles the case, they four were killed after they fired their guns to the elements policemen who chased them.

Based on the investigation, last July 24 at around 6:00 pm a certain Michael Kabigaw, 30, businessman went to the said police station to report that a certain Marlon is offering him to buy a Smart prepaid cards from him.

Kabigaw asked Marlon, how many and how much can he buy, which Marlon replied that he can avail as much as 1,000 pieces or more in different denomination.

Kabigaw agreed and agreed that thy will meet in Malabon. After that conversation, Kabigaw went to the police station to report the incident because according to him he once deceived with the same modus operandi.

At around 2:50 am the elements of DIDM of CAMANAVA went to the meeting place Mac Arthur highway and del Monte Avenue in Potrero Area in Malabon.

However, the suspects who were riding a taxi cab with plate number PXH-466 sensed that there are police at the area sped away their vehicle, then the police chased after them. When the police are about to blocked the way of the suspects, the suspects fired their gun first hitting the right side of the police mobile, the police retaliate.

Recovered from the crime scene, the taxi cab that the suspects rode, loaded with 3 boxes of Smart prepaid car amounting to Php4 Million; one .38 loaded with 6 live ammunition; one .45 with one magazine and loaded with one live ammunition, one armalite rifle with one magazine and 8 live ammunition; and another .45 caliber with one magazine and one live ammunition.
