Story 1:Truck hit center island in EDSA-AYALA

A ten-wheeler dump truck bumped into the center island along EDSA-Ayala causing heavy traffic.

The incident occurred at around 2:45 am of July 1, 2008 when the ten wheeler truck (Isuzu; XJV-109) lost its control and hit the center island that separates the service road from the main highway. According to the report of SPO2 Onesimo Recote the driver of the truck tried to avoid the car that overtook.

No one was hurt on the incident.

The truck which is loaded with sands from Pampanga and will be brought to Cavite turned on its side and all of the sands spilled on the road. Causing heavy traffic on the said area which is south bound.

Investigation also revealed that the truck also have problems with its break that is why it lost control and hit the said center island.
At around 7:30 am the traffic at EDSA normalize again.

This is the second time wherein a truck bumped into the center island of that same area. Last Monday, June 30, 2008 a tanker with ethanol (ingredients for alcohol) bumped on the center island at around 4:00 which also caused traffic up to 11:00 am.
