Story 3: P300M worth of shabu seized in Quezon

About 300 million pesos worth of shabu was seized in the province of Quezon, July 16, 2008 at around 7:00 am.

According to Sr. Supt. Fidel Posadas, Provincial Director of Quezon, the area is isolated and they recovered about 70 kilos of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride. They also recovered equipments being used to make a shabu.

Posadas added that the area is 150 meters away from the national road at Sitio Arcao, Barangay Margundon, Real, Quezon. The lot is about 2,500 sq. m. and the house where the equipment and shabu were found is about 300 sq. m.

He added that the area is a protected area and there should be no any establishments to be build, “They do not have building permit, and we are wondering how come they were able to build a house there,” Posadas added.

He also said that at the front of the house is a piggery, “Probably to hide what is really inside their house.”

On the said operations, they arrested two Taiwanese nationals identified only as Chiu Lu Hsiang and Wu Jung Hsien; Chinese nationals Lin Hai Jung, Weng Shi Chiang, and Wu Chih Yang.
