Story 2: Mall in Pasay City razed by fire, reached task force Echo


A mall in Pasay razed by fire predawn morning of July 17, 2008 and already reached Task Force Echo.

The fire occurred in Puregold Shopping Center along Taft Avenue, Libertad, Pasay City. The mall is located in front of the LRT station along Taft Avenue as well.

The fire started at around 2:52 am, the fire started at the ground floor of the said small for a possible faulty electrical wiring. The fire reached task force echo at around 8:55 am, according to firemen they are having hard time to stopped the fire because of the wind and most of the things being sold inside the mall is flammable like ready to wear clothes, cloth, shoes, soaps, detergents and others.

Because of the fire the LRT stopped their operations from Baclaran to Libertad and vice-versa. But the operations from Gil Puyat to Monumento and vice-versa continued.

As of this writing the fire still on-going.
